Java IRC Client help is below
You are using a web based java applet to connect to our IRC server. This client is feature limited and doesn't provide all of the options of a full blown IRC client. We highly suggest that you download mIRC and then join our server at irc.gearswap.net for the best chatting experience :-)
Java Client Tips:
1. To change your nickname, right click on your name and go to "Change Nickname"
2. You can undock the client from the browser and resize it to any size you want. Click the button in the upper right of the toolbar at the top.
3. If you want to know what a button does, hold your mouse over it and then look in the status section of your browser (bottom left) and it will tell you.
4. You can't do regular IRC commmands such as /me or /msg Snicker. You would need a full IRC client.
5. You can visit another channel by using the menu at the top. Look in #3dretreat!
