The Thermaltake super orb is another cooler that follows the traditional Thermaltake line of coolers. This new orb is 2x as tall as a standard chrome orb and uses dual fans. This new baby was designed to combat the thermal problems with the AMD Athlon Tbird's over 1GHz. This new cooler is designed for the Socket 462 (A) only and is rated up to 1.5GHz. We attempted to try this cooler on out Intel Celeron 600MHz FC-PGA CPU unfortunately it does not sit well enough on the CPU and the thermal transfer is hindered. The stock Intel Celeron cooler worked better than on the Celeron, while it did prove to work well on the PPGA style Celeron we do not recommend you use it on this CPU as it was not designed for it.
