I would say that it is a bit early to speculate which of these two systems will dominate in the years to come. All opinions addressed at this point will be very biased with little proof. With that said, I can cover my butt from those viewers that happen to land on this site that are "Xbox fans". Enough of my bs, Konami Executive Kazumi Kitaue told Reuters
"PlayStation 2 and Xbox will go head-to-head, but Sony seems to have better chance in winning given its head start,"
. In addition, he stated,
"The PlayStation2 platform will be at the top of our list, since sales are likely to grow rapidly. We plan to spend about 70 percent of our development resources on games for PlayStation consoles next year."

I agree that it is early for us to speculate on who will be better but I believe ps2 will be better in the long run.
