According to Sakura Hobby, the new KSC Glock 18c's have some new upgrades done to them. Their "stock" plastic slide is now fitted with metal plating on the rear-interior of the muzzle end. This is possibly in response to complaints of the slide cracking after rough use. (Since many of you probably use gas that's too strong - with HFC 134a being tough to find.) The metal plating also wraps around the area where the guide-rod rests upon. Therefore, that removable "rubber disc" (also found in KSC's Glock 17) which houses the guide-rod is no longer attached since it's not needed.
