Ok, we all knew something like this was going to happen, or someone was going to make something to stop the mp3 sharing, free music downloading etc. Well it looks like the answer to this has finnaly been exposed. With the latest Napster ordeal, it looks like the Recording Music Industry is getting fed up with the mp3 sharing and now they are going full steam ahead to stop it. Here is a snippet from the article: "By performing structured queries of the database, recording companies are able to produce a list of offending machines, IP numbers and connection times for any ISP. Word is that this information will be regularly sent to ISPs whose users are breaching copyright with a demand that, in the first instance, the ISPs take action to stop those users re-offending." "The system is capable of performing follow-up queries of machines that are known offenders and if found to still be breaching copyright, legal action could be launched." Ohh no is right! Is this the end? Well read up here to get the scoope. -Sniper |
