WomenGamers.com has interviewed Richard Dansky, Freedom: First Resistance designer, and April Jones, PR Manager for developer Red Storm Entertainment, about Ubi Soft's Anne McCaffrey titles. This may not seem to be of interest to Rainbow Six fans, but there's a fair bit in the interview about changes in Red Storm's focus and direction after being bought by Ubi Soft. (Unfortunately no mention of R6: III yet ;-)

Here's a snippet:
"The transition has really gone well overall. I think the major hurdle we have had to deal with in the transition time is simply the large scale of Ubi Soft. Red Storm was a highly successful developer and publisher on a global basis, but we only had one development studio and we were relatively small in size with about 90 employees in our U.S. office. Our U.K. office consisted of only seven sales and marketing people who helped get the games out to all the countries outside of North America, but we really did everything with a small staff. In contrast, Ubi Soft has production studios in 10 countries and offices in 18 countries. We are now just one studio out of 1300 total developers that are part of Ubi Soft game production worldwide. So it has been quite a change to get used to working with that many people on such a large scale."

Check out the whole interview here.
