I would like to hear some feedback from the visitors of this site on what you guys would like to see in the future of this site. A couple things that could happpen would be a ghostrecon.3dretreat.com established as a site dedicated to Ghost Recon similiar to when we did the change from Rainbow Six when Rogue Spear was released. Would you like to see that happen with separate sites for each of the games or does anyone have a clever way on how to combine the sites? I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this topic. Post a reply with the "comments" link next to the subject of this post.

A different website for ghost recon would be good, since it is a little bit different from R6. If you need any help with the GR.3dretreat website, let me know.

It would probably be best, in my opinion, to have a new website dedicated to Ghost Recon. I think it's necessary to keep up with the games and stay updated. RS is an awesome game but Ghost Recon is coming and we have to make room for it.

While i havent been around much to pay attention to the rs world, from what i heard gr is going to be alot different than rs. so you might want to create a gr(retreat) site, and then rename rsr, back to r6r, and thin it out of useless content. then have r6r cover r6 and rs news, and the gr site, cover gr. but that would probably take up to much server space, and it wouldnt be valuable enough because with gr interest in r6 and rs will decline.

somehow throughout my ramblings i have proven my thought to be impractical.

Since Black Thorn is coming out in the fall I think (as is Ghost Recon, right?), people would probably like to see news about both at the same time. Now, if you want to have just one website for one of the games and have a little news on the other game, I would say have it for GR because it is a "real" game vs. the add-on that BT is.

BUT I think you should create a Ghost Recon website separate from the RS Retreat because we are not done with RS yet

While the games are similar, this would be a good time to diversify the site. Possibly move over to more of a Tactical FPS based site. That way you can cover all of the bases RS, GR, etc.

Well, why not creating a tomclancy.3dretreat.com, considering that this is the only common point between R6; RS and GR ?

I kinda like Sooner's idea better (hey, I remember you ). It not only would be cooler but would also increase the longetivity (sp?) of the website because it would be devoted to all "realistic" shooters (I guess).

I think we need a unified location for resources for all first/third person realistic tactical squad level simulations.

A place where there's coverage of everything from R6 to GR to the questionable IGI, and soon to be over-covered WW2OL.

Some of the benefits would be the various sub communities would be able to compare and contrast the various merits of their chosen "sim" with others in the genre, the ability for consumers to see which are worth their hard earned cash, and for the mod community to share ideas across various platforms.

Just my $0.02 (US) OO-RAH!

I definetly like sooners Idea! The tomclancy.3dretreat.com idea doesnt sound bad either if you want to narrow the content of the site down a bit. I will gladly help out with this project if needed

tomclancy.3dretreat in my mind isnt that good of an idea. of course that is my mind. considering the fact that he is an author first, people would think tomclancy retreat was about the author. and considering the fact that there would be nothing about him on the site it might seem a little odd.

a tatical shooter might be a little too much to tackle. but if it where sucessful, 3dr could have a website for the average tfps, and even maybe the ocassional fps gamer.
