Ubi Soft Entertainment has issued a press release that announces plans to delay the release of Tom Clancys Rogue Spear: Black Thorn out of respect for the tragic events that took place on Tuesday, Sept 11th. Here is part of the statement: "While Tom Clancys Rogue Spear: Black Thorn features a very strong moral component and realistic portrayal of the fight against terrorism, Ubi Soft has decided to delay the release of the game and modify the content to avoid stirring emotions unnecessarily and unwillingly offending the public. As a result, the games release will be postponed from the originally scheduled date of October 9th until further notice from the company."

WHY, WHY, WHY. Why let those bastards that did this the the USA. Get in the way of the rest of the things that happens in the USA. By doing this they just get what they wanted. To disrupt the American way. While we still need to morn the lose of those killed. We (as Amercians) need to go on and not let them take anything away from us. Even if it is a small thing like a game. It shouldn't matter that the game deals with real life terroist. The game players know it's not real. Besides most people with status in this country don't even know this game is out there on the PC for us to play. I say release it and DON'T CHANGE a thing about the game. KILL THE BASTARDS THAT DID THIS TO THE USA!!!!!!!!!!!!! ------------------

I read in the offical GHOST RECON forums that the 1st mission was a plane hijacking, so I guess that is gone! ------------------

Here's the latest news from HomeLan: http://www.homelanfed.com/index.php?id=2045 "In a phone conversation with Ubi Soft PR represenative Cassie Vogel today, HomeLAN learned more about the postponment of the upcoming Red Storm title Rogue Spear: Black Thorn. Vogel stated that the current version of the game does contain missions that involve planes and terrorists and that the content of those missions will likely be altered before the game is released. Vogel also stressed that Black Thorn has been postponed but not cancelled and that Ubi Soft still has plans to release the game at some point in the future. On another front, Vogel said the planned release of Red Storm's other major game, the military shooter Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, is still set for release on the PC platform later this year." So, I am guessing the will not actually remove whole levels because of this. A lot of hard work and enormous hours go into building and testing each level. I think they just want to make changes to anything that the public may deem offensive.

please go to www.redstorm.com/blackthorn and join forum itz quick to sign up.go under thread (no-delayed release add your name here)and add your name or put up a post explaining how black thorn should not be delayed because of these terrorist act .we get enough response maybe we change ubi-soft/redstorms minds on this situation......thanks..........SPOTTED ------------------
