The Jack Ryan Fan Site has reported that there are no plans to change the Summer 2002 release date or content of "The Sum Of All Fears" despite the movie's terrorist-related plot. Jack Ryan's enemies in the movie are German neo-Nazis instead of Middle Eastern terrorists that originally appeared in Tom Clancy's novel. While we're on the topic of turning Tom Clancy novels into movies, check out this very interesting Premiere article which gives an in-depth account of why it has taken so long to get the fourth Jack Ryan movie into production. The article also hints that Clancy's future Ryan novels may feature a much younger Jack Ryan.
