If you need help in your chess game, every topic is available in Chessmaster 9000. The classroom is split up in to beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Chessmaster 9000 even has hours of video on the subject of Psychology of Chess. The game uses all aspects of learning. You listen to narrator explain the lesson, you can read along, and after each lesson you are given a quiz on the subject.  Did you know that if the chess board is set up correctly, you should have a white square in the bottom right corner? What's the best strategy for defense? You can learn all you need to know here.

There are also mentor options that you can use during the game. One of my favorites was the blunder alert. If you turn this on, a dialog pops up when you make a move that could lead to problems. You can then get instruction on what action you should have taken. Other in game options include a chess coach that can give you various amounts of help during the game. I'm proud to say that after a few lessons I can now beat "Seth" in every game.
