| | Conclusion
I would have liked to have the opportunity to do a 1:1 comparison
review of this drive and a competitors drive, but unfortunately, as
I mentioned, I was not able to acquire one in time for this review
to be published. Stay tuned though because you may see a 1:1 comparison
of this drive with another on in the near future.
From the results of the tests I conducted, it can be seen that
the DiamondMax Plus 60 performs very well when compared to older
drives. As a result, I would say that if you are looking to upgrade
as a result of running out of space on your current drive, or you
would just like the performance boost offered from a 7200RPM ATA-100
drive, the Maxtor DiamondMas Plus 60 would be a great drive to look
into purchasing. It offers great performance and has plenty of room
for holding all your MP3's and programs.
