Conclusion
Although not the best in my comparison, the overall quality of sound
provided from the Plantronics DSP-500 is very good. Its voice recording
features are really the highlight of this set. They provide clear
and clean sound for voice conferencing and speech recognition. What
also makes this set so great is the non-volatile memory built within
the headset for storing settings. This option makes the DSP-500 a
must have for someone who travels. I would also recommend this set
for someone who either does not have a good quality soundcard or maybe
does not have one at all. An example would be where I work. The majority
of the employee's computers do not have soundcards. This set would
be a great option for providing them with the ability to listen to
music while they work.
However, if you are just looking for a good quality set of headphones,
and have a high quality soundcard like the Game Theatre XP, I would
probably recommend that you look at the RumbleFX. This is a great
set of headphones with a very special feature that I will be telling
you about shortly in my upcoming review. So, stay tuned…
