:: Hangsim: The Light Flight Aviation Simulator

Graphics
The graphics in Hangsim are outstanding. They are by far the best graphics I've seen in any flight simulator of this type. The main bug in the graphics is clipping, but that can be disabled with the patch that Wilco Publishing released. The best part about the scenery is its photo realistic ground textures.

Gameplay
There are four different types of game play. They are: free flight, challenge, competitions, and fun flights.

Free Flight: This is the best way to discover the 7 different flight areas without restrictions. In free flight you can choose the type of glider and the location.

Challenge: Challenge teaches you how to handle the various types of gliders that are available. It also teaches specific flight techniques. In the competitions there are no other artificial pilots, but you can add them if you wish using the appropriate menu.

Competition: The advantage of these flights is that they allow the pilot to go up against the artificial intelligence. The competitors are actually piloted by the computer, and their skills are proportional to the level of difficulty in the scenario. The method is simple: just takeoff, follow waypoints, and get to the landing zone first, leaving your competitors behind. Your results will be judged and the program will award points to you in accordance with your flight. These points, and the results of your performance, are awarded at the end of the flight when they are entered in the pilot's log.

Fun Flights: And at last fun flights where your aircraft is fitted with rockets and a gang of intruders invades your space. Become an ace through dogfighting your ultra light aircraft and eliminating your intruders.
