 :: Logitech Cordless Trackman FX
  Installation
Installation of the mouse was very simple.

  1. Plugged in the receiver to the USB port of my computer.
  2. Installed the included AA battery into the Trackman FX
  3. Installed the Mouseware Software
  4. Configured the Trackman.

Testing
The Trackman FX works great for everyday surfing of the Internet and working on your computer. It is especially nice for working with graphics and drawings like in AutoCAD because it allows for more precision.

The best part was the fact of the Trackman being cordless. I didn't have a cord limiting me to the distance I could go with the mouse. I could be up to six feet away and have it function without a problem. Not having to move my wrist around was also a refreshing change to my optical mouse, which I was using prior to the Trackman.

While trackballs work great for surfing the Internet and doing productive things, all trackballs, in my opinion, stink if you are playing action first-person shooter games like Counterstrike or Day of Death. I tried for a couple weeks to get adjusted to using the trackball in these types of games, but all I got out of it was a bullet in the head. I am not a big fan of strategy games, but I suppose that the Trackman FX could be useful in these types of games.

If there is anyone out there that loves playing first-person shooter games with trackballs over mice, drop me a line.
