Sound
In The Sims, there isn't a whole lot of music sequences but there are a fair share of sound effects. When The Sims talk they don't talk in English but actually speak in a sort of "Sim-Talk" which sounds like a mixture of pure gibberish mixed with foreign languages. The effect isn't bad and it helps you increase your imagination on what they're talking about with the assistance of "speech balloons" that have small pictures representing what they have to say. Talking isn't a big highpoint for the game but is done nicely.

Sound Effects, are done very nicely. You hear everything that happens around from the TV on cartoons to the Sims practicing the piano and even the "shursh" noise mad by the cappuccino machine. The sounds are detailed and have been done well. The only flaw in this is that some of the noises may get repetitive and annoying after awhile. It brings truth to the saying "to much of a good thing". This is still a great part of the game; they did not skip on any part of the sound effects.

The test of time.
