I have a couple of minor gripes - I was wondering if anyone else has experienced them or knows a fix. 1stly, RS has a tendency to crash between the intro sequece and the main menu screen. No warning, no errors, just a dump to the desktop. 2ndly, I have noticed recently that some players /tangoes are armed with invisible guns. Whats that all about? You may wish to load the Rogue Spear Configure (start/red storm entertainment/rouge spear/configure rouge spear) and disable the "Show Movies" dialog. It was giving me problems to with my Voodoo3-3000, with it off it always loads. Only time i ever crash now is when i play multiplayer, and leave the Rogue Spear CD in, sometimes when the levels are loading the cd starts skipping and can lock up, which is probably just because mine's a bit dirty. I prefer to remove the CD anyways, loads much faster in multi player mode. Also since i crank the volume way up, and am too lazy to change the sound settings, the loading music does'nt wake up the neighbors.. Thanx K.wal - I will try that. What's this about removing the RS cd? I always leave the cd in - infact its in there permanently at the moment as RS is all I am currently playing. When do you removit? After loading? After Multiplayer starts? I though that you had to have the cd in for mutiplayer. yours confusedly Chro)v(E37 IP: Logged |
