Write for 3dretreat
3dretreat is read by people who play tactical shooters seriously and build the machines to run them. They follow patch notes, argue about recoil patterns, compare frame times at 1440p, and want to know whether a graphics card is worth the money before they spend it. Many of them are on a second or third build and already know the basics, so they come here for detail rather than introductions.
If you write for us, your work reaches that audience directly. A good guest post on this site does not just sit on a page. It answers a question a reader is already searching for, and it stays useful months after publication. Contributors use it to sharpen a argument, test an idea, or point to work they have done elsewhere.
What we publish
- Tactical shooter analysis: map control, loadouts, weapon balance, and how a patch changes the way a mode is played.
- Gaming coverage beyond the shooter genre, where it touches the same audience of PC players.
- PC hardware: CPUs, GPUs, memory, storage, cooling, and what each part actually does for frame rates and stability.
- Build guides and upgrade advice, including what to buy at a given budget and what to skip.
- Reviews of games, peripherals, and components, based on hardware you have used rather than a press release.
- Performance testing and settings guides that show measured results, not guesses.
Guest posts and sponsored articles
We accept contributed editorial and sponsored placements. A guest post is written by you and edited by us; a sponsored post is paid for by a brand or its representative. Both are permanent and indexed, and both stay live once published.
Editorial links in contributed articles are dofollow. Sponsored posts are disclosed where the law or the platform requires it, and we mark them clearly so readers know what they are reading. Pricing is available on request. Turnaround is normally three to five working days from an accepted draft to publication.
If you want to submit an article, read the guidelines below before you send anything. We would rather discuss a pitch than reject a finished piece that does not fit.
Guidelines
- Original and unpublished work. We do not republish content that has appeared elsewhere, including on your own site.
- 800 words or more. Longer is fine if the subject carries it.
- One or two relevant links. Links should support the piece, not pad it.
- No gambling, adult, or pharmaceutical content. We will not run it in any form.
- An author bio is optional. If you send one, keep it to a few lines.
- We edit for house style, clarity, and length. We will not change your position without asking.
These contributor guidelines apply to every submission, whether it is a guest post or a sponsored post. If you are unsure whether your idea fits, ask first.
How to pitch
Email guestpost@3dretreat.com with a subject line in the form "Guest post: <topic>". Include a short outline of what you plan to cover, roughly how long it will be, and a link to past work so we can see how you write. Pitches are easier to assess than full drafts, so send the outline first unless you already have a finished piece. You can also reach us at guestpost@3dretreat.com.
We read every pitch that arrives at guestpost@3dretreat.com and reply to the ones we can use. If your idea fits the subjects above and you can write about hardware or shooters with some authority, we would like to hear from you. Send your pitch to guestpost@3dretreat.com and we will take it from there.
